      Historic Latta Plantation is a circa 1800 cotton plantation and living history farm, located within Latta Plantation Nature Preserve.  Tours of the Latta home are guided, and tours of the grounds are self-guided.

Upcoming Events 

November 15, 2008 (10am-4pm)  Civil War Soldier for a Day  This is a one day mini version of our summer Civil War Children's Camps.  Recruits will learn to drill and finish with a battle.  Supplies and equipment will be loaned out, and campers will receive a Civil War kepi (hat) to keep.  Pick your side- North or South!  The cost is $40 per camper, pre-registration is required.  Ages 8-12 only. RAIN OR SHINE!  PLEASE DRESS FOR THE WEATHER!

November 28-29, 2008 A Plantation Christmas  Begin the Christmas season by stepping back into the 19th century.  Celebrate Christmas in the 1800s as you tour the plantation house, kitchen, and slave cabin.  Regular admission applies ($6 for adults, $5 for seniors (62+) and students, ages 5 and under free).

December 6, 2008 A Candlelight Christmas  Celebrate an 1800s Christmas by candlelight.  Walk the plantation house, kitchen, cabin, and grounds by candlelight as Christmas is celebrated as in days of old.  The plantation will decorated for the season- one of our most beautiful events!  Admission is $6 per person, ages 5 and under free.
